- The standard and the exact clause or method (e.g. MIL-STD-810H Method 514.8, Procedure I, Category 24)
- The test profile if it is tailored — PSD table, temperature cycle, pressure schedule
- Article size, mass and mounting interface; fixture available or to be designed
- Number of samples and whether the article is powered and monitored during test
- Witnessing requirement and report language / format your customer expects
